Baking Soda to Brush Your Teeth
Because I'm highly allergic to most topical products, I finally gave up trying toothpastes only to find I couldn't use them. I settled on plain baking soda and have been happy with the results. Being a little concerned that I was doing the right thing, I asked my dentist what she thought. She said I could go ahead with whatever I was doing as my enamel was in good shape, my gums were a bit better than average for my age and I hadn't had a cavity in 20 years. As a bonus, I could come back in a year for my next cleaning instead of the customary 6 months.
