I'm fortunate enough to have a neighbor right across the street who has a Decorative Concrete flooring company. They did this beautiful floor in the house I'm building. Now, on to the next steps, texture and paint.

Temporary Measures

I still have single-pane windows so they don't insulate well in the winter. I hate to do restrict the light and view from the kitchen window so I drape a fleece blanket between the window and drapes at night. Makes a big difference.

Pantone's Color of the Year

Every year since 2000, the Pantone Color Institute has declared a particular color "Color of the Year". The Pantone Color Matching System is a standardized color reproduction system, allowing different manufacturers in different locations to refer to the Pantone system to make sure colors match without direct contact with one another. It affects many aspects of design worldwide, digital and analog.
